Getting pages out of a PDF as pictures
Sometimes you need a page rather than a document: a diagram to drop into a presentation, a page of a contract to show someone, a preview thumbnail for a listing. Exporting the page as a picture is the simplest route, and it sidesteps the copy-and-paste problems that come with lifting content out of a PDF.
PNG or JPG is a real choice here. PNG is lossless and keeps text and line drawings crisp, which makes it right for diagrams, forms and anything with fine detail. JPG produces much smaller files and suits photographic scans, where the slight softening is invisible.

Can I export only certain pages?
Yes. Give a range such as 2-3, or a list like 1, 4, 7. Leave it empty to export the whole document.
What resolution should I choose?
The default suits screen use. Raise it if the result will be printed or if you need to read small print in a scan — higher resolution means a sharper, larger file.
Can I extract the text instead of an image?
Not with this tool; it produces pictures of the pages. If the PDF contains real text rather than a scan, you can usually select and copy it directly in any PDF reader.
